Specialist technology & communication support

We can help you access specialist technology to help overcome some of the common issues associated with MND, MS or Cerebral Palsy. Our specialist knowledge of progressive neurological conditions can help you get the equipment you need quickly and efficiently.

Our Occupational Therapists can work with your Speech Pathologists and assist with the prescription of various communication devices such as eye gaze trackers.  We can also make recommendations and link you with the appropriate Allied Health professionals to help with swallowing and breathing and a range of other specialist equipment to make daily living easier.

Pressure care management

Our pressure care management plans aim to minimise, prevent and manage pressure injuries such as ulcers, bedsores and pressure sores. Pressure injuries occur when the weight of the body compresses the skin and underlying tissues against the bone and can be caused by staying in the same position for prolonged periods.

Multidisciplinary approach

We’ll develop a comprehensive plan and work with you, your support team and Allied Health providers to deliver a tailored pressure care plan, to reduce your risks and manage any existing wounds.  We’ll educate you and your carers on strategies to prevent injury, relieve pressure and manage existing pressure sores along with prescribing specific aids and equipment to help.
